Ms. Tarash left detailed plans for the three weeks (four weeks if you include Winter Break) I would be teaching in her library. We quickly discovered, though, that plans can change unexpectedly.
During my first week at Guilford, we had my first blackout while teaching. The lesson depended upon a video, so I kept the class calm and relayed the information within a video as best as I could. I had only seen twice before. I retaught the lesson the following week.
My time at Guilford was extended a week, but Ms. Tarash and I worked together to plan extensions to the lessons or introductions for the next units. We made a great team, and she was pleased with my work.
I have been back to Guilford Elementary for several individual day jobs. Ms. Tarash texts me when she needs a substitute, has passed my contact information to Mr. Incavido, Gorman Elementary's Technology teacher, and she recommended me to Ms. Valentine at Gorman Crossing Elementary. On one of my return visits, I had the opportunity to assist with the annual inventory.
